Regardless of any claims to the contrary, I firmly believe that today's episode is completely coincidental, and has nothing to do with the fact that I have been making fun of Stephanie for putting melted ice in her Yuasa battery. Hrm. On second thought....I wuv oo, Steph... *big brown Bambi eyes*

wubba.
So, my SVS has been riding a little funny over the past few days. Nothing serious, just....a little funny. At first, I thought it was me -- y'know how some days, you just don't shift very well, or you're ham-fisted with the throttle, or whatever. But after it'd been happening all week, I figured something was up.

"I should put the SVS on the charger", thought I.

But no, I thought, it couldn't be the battery. I ride daily, after all. I resolved to do its 24k service this weekend and see what I could find out then.

Yesterday morning, the bike felt like it was having trouble starting. "I should put the SVS on the charger", thought I. But then I rode 60 miles yesterday with no problems.

This morning, the bike felt like it was having trouble starting. "I should put the SVS on the charger", thought I.

Tonight, after work....it wouldn't start. "Wubba click," said the SVS. "Oh, for chrissake", said I. "Wubbawubbathbbbbbt click," the bike insisted.

Kim said she'd come find me and take me home. Due to forgotten cell phones and other mixed signals, she drove from her work down to my work, didn't see me, and turned around and went home. So I hung out on the street for an hour or so, with the occasional "wubba" from the SVS. I left multiple voicemails on Peter's work phone to keep myself amused. I got in touch with Kim once she was back at her apartment, so I dumped most of my stuff in my office and walked the couple of miles home.

My best intentions were to get the car and jumper cables and head back to the bike....but there was beer at home. I certainly deserved a beer after wubba'ing with the bike and then walking two and a half miles, right? Right? Thought so.

So, tomorrow, we'll jump the bike and see what we see. I'm hoping it's just that the Yuasa decided to breathe its last after 24k and 2.5 years, and that it isn't $omething horribly expen$ive with the charging $y$tem.

Whee! I knew I should have put it on the damn charger. Wubba, indeed.
