Pictures from the Women on Wheels Ride-In 2001

Wednesday, July 4:

Starting mileage: 3124
Ending mileage: 3350
Ride total so far: 226.2 miles
Map for the day

The SVS all loaded up in my driveway on Wednesday morning
San Francisco: The Golden Gate Bridge fogged in, as usual
...and again.
North of Point Reyes Station
Me in the same spot.
Duncan's Landing beach, in Bodega Bay. It was pretty gray and foggy; I can see colors better in this picture than I could at the time.
The SVS being a beach bunny.
I was actually having a better time than I appear to be in this picture.
I really liked how the fog sort of rolled in low over the highway.
...ditto. These pictures were taken on the access road to the Sonoma Coast state beach.
The fog dissapated a bit when I took this one. Bummer.
Highway 1 just north of Jenner is really cool. This is looking back down the hill.
...and again.
...and again. There are also cows on Hwy 1 north of Jenner (unfortunately, I didn't get pictures). Moo.
A vista point just north of Manchester. It was as foggy as it looks.
The opposite side of the vista point, facing the road. You can't see them in the picture, but there were hawks circling around here.
The SVS and the ocean.
The view from my hotel room balcony in Fort Bragg.
...and again. This is the little harbor that the above bridge spans.
A cool flower outside the Round Table Pizza that I had dinner at.
...and again.
I walked across the bridge after dinner. The sunset was really neat.
The sun setting over the Pacific.
...and again.
I sat and watched the sunset from a bluff behind a RV park.
Pretty sunset.
...and again.
I looked away at the last second, but I actually like how this picture turned out.
Some people were lighting fireworks and burning fires on the beach after sunset.

On to Day 2!
