ugh. i need a new helmet.
Nothing really wrong with the one I have, but it's starting to get
loose and pretty noisy. I've had it for three years now; I guess it's
time to put "saving up three hundred bucks" on the back burner. Feh.

Well, it's definite now; on May 26, I'll be riding up to Calistoga and back. While that's enough to make me pretty excited, what makes me practically at can't-wait level is that I'll be going with (at least) three of the coolest women on the planet: Kim, Tai, and Cat (reading that makes me think that I'll need to change my name to something three-lettered). I'm so excited that I could just jump up and down and around and around.
Basically, it's ~125 miles from San Jose to Calistoga. From what I've been able to gather, we'll all meet in San Rafael in the morning, and then head up together to Calistoga. Once there, we're hitting the spa and are treating ourselves to a myriad of indulgences, including but not limited to massages, mud, and iced tea in the shade. :) Then it'll be back on the bikes and home we go.
Can anyone think of a more perfect way to spend a Saturday???
